Membership Application
MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA
FULL MEMBERSHIP
$50 annually
A full member must be a member in full agreement with the Mission Statement, Conflict of Interest Guidelines, By-laws and Guiding Principles of the Atlantic Cardiovascular Society. A full member is any individual who is a(n):
- specialists in cardiovascular health and diseases
- specialists without specialty qualification in a cardiovascular discipline, but have major interests in cardiovascular health and diseases
- general internists or general practitioners with major interest in cardiovascular health and diseases
- doctorates directly involved in cardiovascular teaching or research
Full Membership Benefits:
- attend and participate in the Annual, regular general, or special general meetings of the ACS.
- full voting privileges
- participate in the governance of the Society with an opportunity to hold office
- receive minutes and notices of meetings
- receive the ACS Newsletter
- opportunities to provide views on key initiatives
- discounts on specific conference rates (i.e. NB Heart Symposium and Atlantic Canada Cardiovascular Conference)
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
$25 annually
An associate member is any organization, society, corporation/business, not-for-profit group, union, professional association or individual (i.e. dieticians, nurses, etc.) with a strong interest in cardiovascular health and diseases and supports the Mission Statement and Guiding Principles of the Atlantic Cardiovascular Society.
Associate Membership Benefits:
- attend and participate in the annual, regular general or special general meetings of the ACS (non-voting member)
- participate in the work of a committee of the ACS upon invitation of the committee chair
- receive Minutes and notices of meetings
- receive the ACS Newsletter
- opportunities to provide views on key initiatives
